6,18mo !! Je venais clairement d’exploser la taille maximale d’un de mes fichiers de modules musicales, malgré les limites de mon Pentium 120mhz équipé de 8mo de mémoire, ce brave Impulse Tracker parvenait à me charger tous les samples nécessaires à ajouter du chant à ma composition d’il y a quelques semaines.

A l’origine, titre Pop / Rock avec un petit coté rebel, cette nouvelle version prend des airs plus Dance, utilisant une série de nouveaux sons travaillés par mon ami Pierrick Hansen…

Certe, la qualité des voix est bien médiocres, et il est difficile sans le support texte de comprendre certains couplets… Ceci dit, avec les moyens techniques, et un micro à 200Fb (500€), j’étais assez fier de mon résultat !

Coucou à Delphine Jacqmard, Tbob (Valentin), Pype, JedD (Jean-Denis Magis), Cédric Vanrutten et Sébastien Valenti)

6.18mo, I had just explode the maximal file size of my sound tracker musical files, as if my Pentium 120mhz only had 8mo of memory, the brave Impulse Tracker was able to load all the vocal samples i’ve added to my last week composition !

The rebel Pop / Rock song now sounds more Dance with those news samples realised by my friend Pierrick Hansen, same that the one i’ve used in the song Space is my Reality.

Sure, voices are in poor quality, and it’s hard to understand some parts without text support, anyway, with technologies i’ve had and my foolish microphone (5€), it was not a bad result !

Track 7, Esperenza (1998)

Pendant que j’étais parti au cinéma voir Roméo + Juliette avec TBob (Valentin Boigelot), Doudou (Delphine Jacqmard), ;QRIE (Marie Martin), mon frangin Pype s’écoutait en boucle mon nouveau titre planant…

Avec Space is my Reality, je rentrais dans un style Trance mélodique nouveau, m’inspirant fortement de l’influence de mon mentor Pierrick Hansen et son projet “Space”, dont les samples du 2° essais ont d’ailleurs servi de base à mon titre.

Bizarrement, Space is my Reality, malgré son potentiel confirmé sera oublié lors de la mise en boite de l’album “Summer Island”, mon 2° album terminé fin de l’été 97. Ce n’est que dans l’album suivant, Esperenza, qu’il fera son entrée…

Bien des années plus tard, travaillant sur le projet Pixelization, je ferais un petit cadeau à mon frangin Pype en retravaillant le titre version 2002.

Codasm : “I Really lOve this tune because of the feeling it gives, Well done, CJ !”

During i went to the cinema watching to Roméo + Juliette with T-Bob, Doudou and ;QRIE, my bros Pype listened in loop to my new flying track…

With this Space is my Reality i started new melodic trance style inspirated from my mentor Pierrick Hansen and his Space Project, witch the 2nd essai’s samples helped me a lot !

Strangely, with a confirmated potential, i forgot to add the song to my next CD Album “Summer Island” released in summer 97. Space is my Reality only appeared in Esperenza in january 98.

Some years later, in 2002, working on the project Pixelization, i decided to rework it as a gift to my brother who likes so much that theme !

Avec le synthé de mon ami Parmy, je commencais à vraiment m’améliorer et à trouver des mélodies de piano vraiment intéressantes, malheureusement, je n’arrivais pas à les retranscrire en mode Tracker… J’avais depuis un moment, trouver cette mélodie de Slow pour Delphine, mais le résultat obtenu dans “Delphine I Love you : Part 2” n’était pas concluant, loin des accords que j’avais trouvés…

J’avais donc installé Cakewalk, un séquencer midi pour tenter de jouer en direct ma partie piano, puis d’y ajouter quelques autres instruments…

Le résultat était un peu brouillon, mais s’approchait tout de même plus de ce que j’arrivais à faire au piano…

Il ne manquait plus qu’à enregistrer le texte d’un anglais très approximatif !

Ah ben j’ai finalement réussi à relire le fichier et peut donc vous proposer une version réparée.

L’air de rien, je terminais ce jour là un nouveau petit morceau pour le mini player S3M 6 pistes codés en Assembler par mon frangin Pype, avec espoir de le voir intégré dans nos prochains jeux PPP Team Software… J’ignorais encore que je venais de signer là une sacrée mélodie qui allait devenir sous peu le premier grand “tube” dance signé Cyborg Jeff : You’re my sun !

That day, i just finished a new small dance song written from the mini S3M player coded by my borther Pype in Assembler, hoping that could finally added to the forcoming PPP Team Games. But i ignored that i’ve just signed my first great Dance Melody : You’re my Sun !

Morceau électronique imaginé pour un style de jeu à la Bio Menace (Probotector à la sauce MS-DOS) que j’avais appelé Action Custom… Ceci dit, plus un pretexte pour réaliser ce titre qu’autre chose..

Electronical music written for a Bio Menace like game i’ve called Action Custom…. Anyway just a pretext to write that kind of song than a real project…

Raaaaah impossible de joindre Delphine au téléphone, occupé, occupé, occupé… depuis 6 heures… Le genre de truc qui me rendait dingue, à un point tel que stupide erreur de ma part, j’ai fini par faire une gaffe, j’ai sauvegardé un fichier vide sur la première version de ce morceau…. Je me relançais donc à chaud à ré-écrire ce morceau techno, utilisant des samples tirés du magasine PC Fun permettant de s’approcher du style Sash! – Encore une fois.

Aaaah, i was not able to call Delphine that day. busy, busy, busy since 6 hours, i began crazy, so i unfortunatly saved a blank files to the original version of that song. I started back directlty, working with vocal samples found on the PC Fun Magasine, that let me be close to the style of Sash! – Encore une fois.

Dans mon coin, je continuais donc mon projet “Introduction of Dream”, en me lançant dans cet troisième partie, encore un peu plus Chiptunes que la deuxième… La mélodie me plait beaucoup au final, mais je n’ai pas vraiment réussi à l’exploiter entièrement, les variations restant peu intéressante et le morceau à l’état d’essai…

En 2003, pour le projet “CJ’s World Remix”, le prometteur Tero Tarkiainen aka Prophecy en réalisait une douce version très mature…

I still worked on my “Introduction of Dreams” project and starting this third part… I realy like the main melody with that chiptune arrangement, anyway, i’ve never found how to finish it…

In 2003 the great Tero Tarkiainen (aka Prophecy) wrote a relax arrangement for the album CJ’s World Remix, that give a the great touch needed to this song !

Bon, je n’ai pas vraiment de mérite sur ce module… Juste un petit jeu sur base de samples tirés de Gusto – Disco’s Revenge, titre Disco-Dance de 1996, trouvés dans le magasine PC Fun… vraiment aucun mérite donc !

So well, this is just a music play with some loop samples from Gusto – Disco’s Revenge (1996) found in another modules in the PC Fun Magasine…

Bé oui, évidemment, quand on est amoureux, on a envie d’écrire de jolis slows,… Je me lançais donc dans une nouvelle composition romantique tentant de m’approcher de mon grand modèle : Ten Sharp – You, jamais égalé !

J’avais composé le thème principale le lundi soir qui suivi la venu de Delphine à la maison…

Cyborg Jeff & Tbob (Martin-Boigelot-Jacqmard-Jacqmard-Martin) Impulse Tracker II – Pentium 120

Début mars, Valentin et moi étions partis dans un petit délire musicale sur base d’une série de samples enregistré par téléphone,… Allo, allo ?? On bièsse quand on est jeune… Bref, ma soeur Marie et la famille Jacqmard en avaient fait les frais, mais la bande son manquait un peu de charisme… s’en suivi donc ce petit remix, un poil plus concluant… ou pas !

Early march 97, Tbob and I started a funny track using some phone recording of my sister and friend’s familly… but musical arrangement needed something more… here is it !
